The Bed Project.

We probably spend about half of our lives in bed, yet they are something we generally overlook (except some fascinations held in the quality of or aesthetics of). When we sleep we lose a lot of the qualities that differentiate us as human beings. Our behavior, while we sleep, is generally unconscious. Our body physically reacts (tossing and turning, crying, talking, and walking) from an unconscious, uncontrollable state. Therefore, I wanted to do a study of beds, to examine the "remnants" of what I argue is our "animal-selves" only revealed at night. This is the one time when humans lose control, and act only on instinct and reflex. The morning bed is my subject. Here are a few images from my project!
